What changed in how God deals with people — Israel under the law versus the Gentiles?

God moved from dealing with Israel under the law and kingdom economy to also reaching Gentiles and Jews with the gospel of grace rather than the gospel of the kingdom. The same God now saves lost humanity through His incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection—all by grace.

Les teaches that Paul communicated the gospel he preached among the Gentiles by revelation with absolute clarity. That gospel was totally different from what Peter and the eleven preached to the Jew, though it is the same God. God was now dealing not just with Israel under the law and the kingdom economy, but was also going to the Gentile world and the Jew with the gospel of the grace of God. Les explains that grace is what few comprehend: a holy, righteous God came in His own person among sinful men, took on human flesh, went to the Roman cross, was tortured, crucified, shed His blood, and was raised from the dead to save lost humanity. It is all grace. He illustrates multitudes going up and down streets and highways, zipping along three lanes thick, yet few stop to think of eternity or the life to come.
