How did Apollos's preaching at Corinth compare to Paul's?

Apollos preached and taught much the same message as Paul at Corinth, but with a more Jewish flavor because he had been steeped in John the Baptist's teachings. Many Corinthian believers were drawn to Apollos, preferring to listen to him rather than Paul.

Les explains that when Apollos came to Corinth, he was preaching and teaching much the same thing Paul did, but with a little more Jewish flavor, since he had been steeped in the teachings of John the Baptist and so forth. As a result, many Corinthian believers became glued to Apollos and were ready to listen to him rather than Paul. Earlier, Priscilla and Aquila had taken Apollos aside and expounded the way of God more perfectly, communicating everything they had learned from Paul—that the cross now made all the difference, that they were no longer under the kingdom economy, the law, or temple worship, because Christ had died, been buried, and risen from the dead. So Apollos's message aligned with Paul's, but his background gave it a more Jewish flavor, which contributed to the Corinthians' preference for him.
