What pagan worship existed in Corinth?

Corinth was rampant with pagan worship, including a great temple to one of the Greek goddesses situated above a promenade overlooking the city. Its moral corruption, double seaport status, and influx of sailors from all parts of the world fostered this idolatrous environment.

Les teaches that Corinth was probably the most lascivious, immoral, wicked, and morally corrupt city in the Roman Empire. He explains that it was a double seaport on an isthmus jutting into the Mediterranean, with the eastern side handling eastern Mediterranean trade and the western side handling trade to Rome, Spain, and the other end of the Mediterranean. Sailors from all parts of the world came into Corinth, and it was rampant with pagan worship. There was a great temple to one of the Greek goddesses that sat above a promenade above the city of Corinth. Les notes that the whole society was programmed to this.
