Where did Paul labor before writing Romans?

Paul had been laboring in western Turkey (Asia Minor) and then a little later in Greece, specifically in Achaia and Macedonia. These new believers, though intensely poor, gave an offering that Paul would take to the poor saints in Jerusalem.

Les teaches that Paul had been laboring in western Turkey and then a little later in Greece—Achaia and Macedonia. He explains that Greece is mountainous with little opportunity for wealth, so those new believers in rural Greece were intensely poor, yet they gave what they had so Paul could take the offering to the poor saints in Jerusalem. Paul first determined to go to Jerusalem to minister to the believing Jews there, though he also looked forward to eventually reaching Rome and going on west to Spain.

Romans 15:26

For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
