Les Feldick Bible Study

Will any Jews survive the tribulation, and why?

Yes. A believing Jewish remnant—the elect of God—will survive the tribulation. Scripture indicates they flee Jerusalem to the mountains and are supernaturally escorted by God, just as Israel was delivered from Egypt. Their survival depends on God's intervention and the tribulation ending on His appointed schedule.

Les explains that there will be a group of Jews who are the elect of God. If the tribulation were not ended right on schedule, even they would not be able to survive. This escaping remnant flees from Jerusalem down to the mountains and is supernaturally escorted, as seen in Revelation chapter 12. Les compares it to Israel coming out of Egypt when Pharaoh's army was behind them and God intervened supernaturally. Once the seven-year period begins, the supernatural becomes commonplace: the two witnesses appear, and God sets apart the 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes.
