Was the long period of Israel's spiritual blindness predicted anywhere in Scripture?

No. The long period of Israel’s spiritual blindness was not foretold anywhere in Scripture; it was part of the mystery. Scripture reveals it is temporary, lasting until the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in, when the blindness will be lifted and God resumes His dealing with Israel.

Les explains that nothing in Scripture foretold the long period—about 1,900 and something years—during which Israel would be spiritually blinded. This blindness was part of the mystery. Yet it is only “in part,” not forever or absolute; it lasts for a period of time. The key word is “until,” a time word. Israel remains blinded until the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in. Les identifies the fullness of the Gentiles as the Body of Christ. The church will be raptured when the last person is saved and completes that body. Then Israel’s blindness will fall away, and God will once again pick up where He left off with the nation.

Romans 11:25

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
