Les Feldick Bible Study

What should we do with the mysteries once we understand them?

Once believers understand the mysteries, they should act as faithful stewards by managing and administering them, then pass them on to those who have never heard or know nothing of them. Understanding brings responsibility: study, learn, and faithfully share these truths with others.

Les teaches from 1 Corinthians 4 that Paul places a responsibility on believers of this age. Although Paul speaks in the first person, what he applies to himself he applies to all his listeners. A steward is a caretaker, manager, or overseer, and verse 2 requires that a steward be found faithful. Les explains that you cannot oversee or manage something you know nothing about, so believers should be studying and learning. Once we get a hold on these mysteries, we are to be faithful in passing them on to those who have probably never heard or those who know nothing of it.

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
