What is Paul claiming in 1 Corinthians 15:8 when he says 'last of all he was seen of me also'?

Paul claims that he also saw the resurrected, ascended Lord face to face. He did not see Christ during His earthly walk or the forty days after resurrection; he saw Him after his Damascus road conversion, about eight years after Pentecost, and calls himself one born out of due time.

Les teaches that Paul is making a tremendous statement that most people miss entirely, yet it is a fantastic truth. Paul never saw Christ while He walked on the earth, and he did not see Jesus during the forty days after His resurrection. Paul did not see Him until after his conversion experience on the road to Damascus, about eight years after Pentecost. So in 1 Corinthians 15:8 Paul claims he saw the resurrected, ascended Lord face to face. The phrase “one born out of due time” pictures a physical birth from a physical mother before the due time—a preemie, born prematurely. Les notes II Corinthians 12 but does not look it up.

1 Corinthians 15:8

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
