What material wealth did God give the Arab people?
God blessed the Arab people with vast population and material wealth, specifically giving them all the world's oil and the wealth of the world in their backyard. Scripture promised Ishmael would be fruitful, multiply exceedingly, beget twelve princes, and become a great nation.
Les explains that although God's covenant promise was established with Isaac, God also dealt with Ishmael in Genesis 17:20. God said He would make Ishmael fruitful, multiply him exceedingly, and make him a great nation with twelve princes, and God did. Les points to the Middle East, where there are 50 Arabs for every Jew, and says God has blessed the Arab people. Not only did they receive 50 times more people than Israel, but they also got all the world's oil and the wealth of the world in their backyard, so they have nothing to complain about.
