Is Sunday taught in the Bible as a holy day above the rest of the week?

No. Scripture does not set Sunday up as a special holy day above the other six days. Paul says believers are not to regard one day higher than another but to regard every day alike. The book teaches every day is alike for the believer, and God is to be served all week.

Les explains that Sunday is not presented in Scripture as a holy day that ranks above the rest of the week. He notes Paul's words in Romans 13: do not regard one day higher than another, but regard every day alike. Les says he has nothing against Sunday per se, yet even Sunday is not taught in the Scriptures as we understand Sunday. Paul only mentions the first day of the week as a time when believers come together and bring their offerings, on resurrection day. But setting Sunday up as a special holy day above all the other six days is not what the book teaches. For the believer, every day is alike; God is to be served just as much Monday through Friday as Saturday and Sunday. Les also ties this to Galatians, where Paul warned against legalism and Judaizers who wanted Gentiles to keep the Law for salvation.
