Was the tabernacle and Temple part of the giving of the Law to Israel?

Yes. The tabernacle was included in the giving of the Law, as God gave Moses instructions to build it in the wilderness of Sinai. Later, Solomon's Temple was also part and parcel of that same giving of the Law to the nation of Israel, forming part of their heritage.

Les explains that God added to the Ten Commandments all the rituals, regulations, rules, civil law, and stipulations for the priesthood, which is the ecclesiastical part of the Law. God then gave Moses instructions for building the tabernacle, and Israel accomplished that while still in the wilderness of Sinai. When the tabernacle was finished, the Shekinah glory came down upon it, and when the glory lifted and moved, they took it down and followed. Les says that was the giving of the Law, which they carried after the 40 years of wilderness into the Promised Land. For years it sat as a temporary little tent north of Jerusalem, until God gave David, and then through his son Solomon, permission to build a permanent dwelling place, Solomon's Temple. Les teaches that this was all part and parcel of the giving of the Law to the nation of Israel, part of their heritage. The Law was never given to the Gentiles; it was given to Israel alone, though as Romans chapter 3 shows, it covered the whole human race.
