Who helps us with our weaknesses according to Romans 8:26?

According to Romans 8:26, the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers, helps us with our infirmities, that is, our weaknesses. Because these matters are invisible and in the realm of the Spirit, we cannot manage them ourselves; rather, we are to let God do it.

Les explains that Romans 8:26 moves into a deeper area: the Holy Spirit, who now indwells us according to Paul's teaching, also helps our infirmities, our weaknesses. He notes there is not much we can do about it because we are dealing with the invisible and the realm of the Spirit. The believer's part is to let God do it. This follows the previous verses about hoping for what we do not see and waiting patiently, since God is not bound by our timeline.

Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
