Why is it hard to get people interested in Paul's letters?

Genesis and Revelation naturally excite people and hold their attention, but Paul's letters deal with the here and now where we are today, making it tougher to generate and sustain the same level of interest in them when they are taught.

Les explains that over the years he has noticed it is no problem getting people excited and interested when teaching Genesis, and no problem keeping them excited and interested when teaching Revelation. However, when you get into Paul's letters, and into the here and now where we are today, it is kind of tough getting people interested. He makes this observation as he begins a series on Romans and cross-references Ephesians.
