Why is Ephesians considered higher ground and deeper water?
Ephesians is considered higher ground and deeper water because it reveals a deeper level of Christian experience. Paul brings out truths in Ephesians that he does not even bring out in Romans, Galatians, or Corinthians, which is why the epistle is described as higher ground and deeper water.
Les teaches that Ephesians is again a deeper level of Christian experience, or a higher one, depending on how you look at it. He explains that Paul brings out things in Ephesians that he does not even bring out in Romans, Galatians, and the Corinthians. That is why Ephesians is called higher ground and deeper water. In this context, Les is discussing what it means to be in Christ and points to Ephesians chapter 5 as a place for explanation, noting that Ephesians may be taught on the air someday.
