How many of John's signs happened before Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection?

Seven of John’s eight recorded signs occurred before Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The Gospel of John contains eight signs, all miracles, and the first seven preceded the completion of that work. The eighth sign appears in John’s last chapter and is called the sign of new beginnings.

Les explains that there were eight signs in John’s Gospel, and all eight were miracles. He notes that seven of those miracles or signs took place before Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, which completed all that had to be done. Then in the last chapter of John, the eighth sign and miracle appears—the sign of new beginnings. He says this is seen all through Scripture and proposes to look at the first seven, then take another look at the eighth.
