What does Romans 8:27 say about God knowing the Spirit's mind?
Romans 8:27 says that the one who searches the hearts knows the mind of the Spirit. God alone is able to search the heart, an area where He works; people cannot look on each other's hearts or judge them. Therefore, He knows the Spirit's mind.
Les explains that Romans 8:27 points to the area where God works—the heart. While humans cannot see or judge each other's hearts, God searches the hearts and knows the mind of the Spirit. This fits the surrounding context of the Holy Spirit interceding for believers, with all three persons of the Trinity involved in our prayer line, constantly working on our behalf.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
