According to Romans 5:8, what did God do?
According to Romans 5:8, God, the Almighty Creator and Triune God, commended and extended His love toward us. This divine action shows that everything is based on His love. God's love is the foundation of His outreach to humanity, as Scripture states.
Les teaches that Romans 5:8 declares that God, the Almighty Creator, Triune God, commended and extended His love toward us. He points out that everything is based on His love. In the surrounding context, Les stresses that salvation is not church membership or baptism; after believing, God seals the believer with the Holy Spirit as a mark of ownership and the earnest or down payment of our inheritance. This verse was also a valid question that came up in one of his classes.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
