Les Feldick Bible Study

Where do plural 'sins' come from according to this teaching?

Plural 'sins' come from the old Adam, the old Adamic nature. Singular 'sin' is the fountainhead, the old nature we are born with, and it produces sins, plural. Scripture consistently separates singular sin from plural sins when studying these doctrines.

Les explains from Romans chapter 6 that sin, singular S-I-N, is the old nature, the old Adamic nature we are born with, and that is why it is singular. It is the fountainhead of S-I-N-S, plural, so the old Adam produces sins, plural. He stresses that we always have to keep singular sin and plural sins separated as we study Scripture.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:15

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Romans 6:16

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
