Is the life God gives believers temporary or eternal?
Scripture teaches that the life God gives believers is eternal, not temporary. It says He has made you alive with eternal life, not just a temporary thing, but has given you eternal life. This contrasts with the unsaved, who are spiritually dead in trespasses and sins.
Les explains from Ephesians 2 that the believer has been made alive with eternal life, not a temporary existence. The unsaved world, by contrast, is spiritually dead in trespasses and sins, walking according to the course of this world and the prince of the power of the air, Satan. Even in all their activity, they are dead, wrapped up in the spiderweb of Satan, doing what comes naturally under the old nature. But God has given believers eternal life.
