Les Feldick Bible Study

How was the Bible written according to this teaching?

Scripture was written as the writers were moved by the Holy Spirit, not by human intellect or collected ability. Every writer of the book wrote under the Spirit's direction. Paul's letters, though written by a man God used, became the Word of God and carried weight beyond his verbal speech.

Les teaches that no word of Scripture came to pass by men writing on the basis of what they had been able to collect. Instead, every writer of the book wrote as he was moved by the Holy Spirit. When Les mentions Paul's writings, he is not talking about the man and his intellect or his tremendous ability to come out with theological truths, but about the man God used to put these things in print. Paul's letters were called weighty, and they became the Word of God. Even though Paul addressed many people face to face, his written letters had a different weight and impact because they are the Word of God. Paul's speech was called contemptible, and his appearance was not great, yet his letters were weighty.
