When are these things imputed to us?

Scripture declares that these things are imputed to us when we believe. At the moment a sinner believes in Jesus, the Christ of resurrection, God imputes the work of propitiation, redemption, and His shed blood, declaring them just as if they had never sinned. Life changes then begin.

Les explains that in order for the work of propitiation, the shed blood, and redemption to be consummated, God remains just and is also just in justifying the sinner who believes. He emphasizes that when Paul says to believe in Jesus, he is not talking about the Jesus of the Gospels but the Christ after His resurrection. The Bible declares these things will be imputed to us when we believe, and at that point life changes begin to happen. Les notes that many people think certain works must be added, but Scripture leaves those things out.
