How are believers redeemed according to 1 Peter 1:18?

According to 1 Peter 1:18, believers are not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold, nor from their vain conversation received by tradition from their fathers. Instead, they are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, which paid the price of their redemption.

Les explains that 1 Peter 1:18 states believers were not redeemed or bought with corruptible things like silver and gold, nor from the vain conversation received by tradition from the fathers. Rather, they were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ. Les emphasizes that this cannot be made any plainer, and therefore you cannot leave the blood out of the picture or bypass the blood of Christ, because believers have been redeemed by His blood. This connects to the earlier point that His shed blood paid the price of redemption and that believers are justified by God's grace.
