What is redemption?
Redemption is paying a price. God pours out His grace through a redemption process, accomplishing justification by grace. It is not earned or deserved; God declares the sinner just as if he never sinned, and redemption is the means by which that is accomplished.
Les teaches that redemption is paying a price. It is how God pours out His grace, and it is tied to justification, whereby God declares the sinner just as if he never sinned. This justification is on the basis of grace, not because a man deserves it. Les then gives an illustration of a boy who labored to make a little model boat for summer vacation, played with it at the beach, and then lost it when he looked away.
