Can a person please God without faith?

No. Scripture declares in Hebrews that without faith it is impossible to please God. This is one of the two absolutes. The Law only condemns and cannot help anyone get to heaven; keeping commandments will not suffice. A person must come God's way, which requires faith.

Les explains that without faith it is impossible to please God, one of the two absolutes of Scripture that he finds in Hebrews. He contrasts this with the Law, which does nothing but condemn and cannot help anyone get to heaven. Even keeping the commandments until you are blue in the face will not cut any muster at the great white throne. Jesus Himself will say to many, 'Depart from Me, I never knew you,' because they never came God's way. So faith is the indispensable requirement to please God.
