When and to whom were the great truths of salvation revealed?
After Christ finished the work of the cross, ascended back to glory, and sent the Holy Spirit, the great truths of salvation were revealed to the Apostle Paul. They were not revealed during His earthly ministry, because the cross had not yet been accomplished.
Les explains that during Christ's earthly ministry the cross had not yet been accomplished, so Christ was not preaching death, burial, and resurrection as an accomplished work. Even when He told the disciples in Luke 18 that He would be spit upon, beaten, put to death, and rise the third day, they understood none of these things because it was hidden from them. Les teaches that after Christ finished the work of the cross, ascended back to glory, and sent the Holy Spirit, these great truths of salvation were then revealed to this other apostle, Paul—the one many like to push back in the corner and do not want to fool with.
