What does Les teach about God-given marital things when they are under God's restraints?
Under God's restraints, marital and sexual matters are not merely normal but are what God has given. God approved marriage in the Garden, and Scripture says the marriage bed is undefiled and honorable. The problem arises when man, influenced by Satan, takes these God-given things and changes the truth of God into a lie.
Les teaches that God placed His stamp of approval on the marriage relationship back in the Garden, and Jesus also approved it. Paul says in Hebrews that the marriage bed is undefiled, and God calls it honorable in all. So under God's restraints, these marital things are perfectly normal—not only normal, but they are what God has given. The corruption enters when man, under the influence of the adversary Satan, takes those God-given things and changes the truth of God into a lie, worshiping and serving the creature more than the Creator. Because of that rejection, God gives them up to a yet lower lifestyle, described as vile affections.
