Can God save someone even if they are totally steeped in sin and wickedness?
Yes. Paul makes plain in Romans 5 and Romans 6 that where sin abounded, God's grace can be greater. No sinner is so vile or steeped in wickedness that God cannot save them in a moment, cleanse their life, and make them a trophy of His grace.
Les explains that Paul makes it plain in Romans 5 and Romans 6 that where sin abounded, no matter how vile the sinner, God's grace can be greater. There is no soul on this planet so steeped in sin and wickedness that God will not save in a minute, put his feet on a rock, clean up his life, and make him a trophy of His grace. That is what God wants. Yet the context also says people can walk the truth underfoot and not want to be bothered; when they refuse to retain God in their knowledge, God may judicially give them over to a reprobate mind, as He did with Pharaoh.
