Why did the early believers turn the world upside down according to Acts?

According to Acts, early believers turned the then-known world upside down because they were never ashamed of the Gospel, no more than Paul was. As soldiers rotated through service across the Roman Empire, they carried the Gospel with them, spreading it everywhere.

Les explains that Paul wrote Titus near the end of his ministry, about a year or two before martyrdom, while under house arrest in Rome. Paul had Roman soldiers as guards, and almost all of them, after their tour of duty in his presence, left as believers. They went to various places of service throughout the Roman Empire, even into the Emperor's temple. As they rotated service from one end of the Empire to the other, they took the Gospel with them. This is what made Acts say early believers turned the then-known world upside down, inside out, because they were never ashamed of the Gospel, just as Paul was not. Paul then writes Titus 2:11 about the grace of God bringing salvation and appearing to all men, a stunning statement understood in light of Romans 1:18.
