Did Jesus's rejection and crucifixion change His kingship or the kingdom?

No. Israel's rejection and crucifixion of the King did not change His kingship or the kingdom. He remains King of kings and Lord of lords, now seated at the Father’s right hand, and the kingdom is still centered in Christ, one day to be established on earth.

Les teaches that John the Baptist announced the kingdom was at hand because the King was in their midst, and where the King is, the kingdom was sure to come. But Israel rejected the King and the kingdom and crucified Him, and He was called back into glory, seated at the Father's right hand. Yet nothing regarding His kingship and the kingdom has really changed. He is still King of kings and Lord of lords. Les clarifies that He is not the King of the church but the head of the body, while the kingdom remains centered in Christ. At salvation, believers are translated from spiritual darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son in heaven, and that same kingdom will one day come and be established on earth, where believers will be present and rule and reign with Christ over the kingdom they are now members of by salvation.
