What did the torn veil allow people to see?

The torn veil allowed people to look directly into the very holy of holies, the very presence of God. It opened up the way into God's presence and made it available, not only to the high priest on the Day of Atonement, but to everybody.

Les explains that when Christ died, He so completely fulfilled everything that a holy God could demand, and the righteousness of God was unveiled. The veil was rent from top to bottom, and man could look right into the very holy of holies. This opened the way into the very holiest of holies, the very presence of God, and made it available not just to the high priest on the Day of Atonement but to everybody. Since everything needed has already been accomplished, man does not need to add his own works; the just are the justified ones, declared just as if they had never sinned.
