Was Peter afraid of anyone after the resurrection?

No, after the resurrection Peter was not afraid of anyone. He was not afraid of Rome, he was not afraid of the Jews, he was not afraid of anybody. The reason is that he had now witnessed the power of the resurrection, which became the bedrock of the Gospel.

Les explains that before the resurrection, when Peter was confronted at Christ's arrest, he collapsed, cursed, denied knowing Jesus, and ran scared, along with the others. But after the resurrection, Peter was afraid of no one—not Rome, not the Jews, not anybody—because he had witnessed the power of the resurrection. Les emphasizes that this resurrection power must be the bedrock of our Gospel. It is not enough to believe Jesus was a good man or that He died by crucifixion; the Gospel must be taken to its full fruition: He was raised from the dead, victorious over sin, hell, death, and everything. As Les looks ahead to Romans, he notes that Paul trumpets this truth—that believers are what they are because Christ not only died but rose victorious over the archenemy, breaking the bonds and shackles of sin.
