Who did Saul of Tarsus believe Jesus was at his conversion?

At his conversion, Saul of Tarsus believed Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel, and the Promised One from the Old Testament, coming to the Jews under the covenant promises. That was the extent of his understanding at that time.

Les teaches that Saul of Tarsus was saved under the Kingdom Gospel, believing who Jesus was. He explains that Saul understood Jesus to be the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel, the Promised One out of the Old Testament, coming to the Jews under the covenant promises. That was all he understood at that time, but it was enough because it was as much as God had revealed then. Les points out that God had a path for Saul among the Gentiles, so He would move him out to enlighten him further. This confession was the same as Peter's, Martha's, and the Ethiopian eunuch's: that He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
