Why can't you put Gentiles into the first few years of Acts?

Gentiles cannot be placed in the early years of Acts because the scattered believers preached the word to none but Jews only. They confined their message to Israel, going not to Gentiles but to Jews, proving from the Old Testament that the crucified One was the Christ.

Les explains that after the persecution arose around Stephen, the believers were scattered from Jerusalem as far as Phenis, Cyprus, and Antioch in Syria. Yet Acts 11:19 says they preached the word to none but Jew only. They were not going to the Gentiles; they were not going down into Egypt or over to Greece, and if they did, it was to Jews. They remained confined to Jew only. This was seven years after Pentecost, and the New Testament had not yet been written, so the word they preached was the Old Testament. That Old Testament was used to prove that the One Israel crucified was the Christ. That message had not changed. Therefore, Gentiles cannot be put into anything in that first few years, because the Scripture says they preached to none but Jew only.

Acts 11:19

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
