Why was Joseph's reunion with his brothers so emotional?

After many years of separation, the brothers were finally brought back together, and Joseph made himself known, wept upon them, and kissed them. Because they were troubled at his presence and could not answer him at first, the reunion was deeply emotional.

Les explains that after all these years Joseph and his brothers were finally brought back together, and the meeting was emotional. Joseph could not refrain himself before those standing by, cried for every man to leave, and no man remained with him while he made himself known unto his brethren. He said, 'I am Joseph. Doth my father yet live?' His brethren could not answer him because they were troubled at his presence. He called them near, said he was Joseph their brother whom they sold into Egypt, then kissed all his brethren and wept upon them; afterward they talked with him. Les also draws an analogy: at His first advent, Israel did not know Jesus, but He knew them. He points to Zechariah before returning to Acts, and the analogy draws all the way through Acts chapter 7, where they said, 'away with Him, we'll not have this man to rule over us.'

Genesis 45:15

Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.
