Did Paul tell his Gentile converts to attend the temple?

No. Paul had nothing to do with the temple during his missionary journeys, and he did not tell his new converts in Asia Minor—present-day Turkey—to attend the temple. Instead, he established small congregations of believers that met in homes.

Les explains that in the setting being discussed, believers were daily in the temple because the temple was still operating and still the center of Jewish life. But when it comes to Paul, Les emphasizes that Paul had nothing to do with the temple in his missionary journeys. He did not tell his new converts in Asia Minor, present-day Turkey, to be sure and get to the temple. Instead, Paul set up little congregations of believers in homes—small groups of believers.
