Who was Peter preaching to in Acts and who does Paul address in Ephesians?
In Acts, Peter was still on Jewish ground, preaching to the nation of Israel, with everything resting on the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In Ephesians, Paul addresses Gentiles, as shown when he turns to speak to us Gentiles in chapter 2.
Les teaches that this Ephesians passage falls right in line with what he has been teaching in the Book of Acts. Peter remains on Jewish ground, still preaching to the nation of Israel, and everything is still based on the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then Paul, writing to Gentiles, turns to Ephesians chapter 2, verse 11, where he speaks to us Gentiles. The contrast is Israel under Peter’s Acts ministry versus Gentiles addressed by Paul in Ephesians.
