What covenant program was Peter under in Acts?
Peter was under the covenant program that began with Abraham. In the early chapters of Acts, Peter ministered to the Jews to prove that Jesus was the King coming in fulfillment of that Abrahamic covenant. That covenant program continued through Christ's earthly ministry.
Les teaches that the early chapters of Acts show Peter, Peter, Peter ministering to the Jew, the Jew, the Jew. Peter is the apostle to the Jew, while Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles. These are two different groups of people and two different doctrines, but the same God. Peter remained under the covenant program that began with Abraham, and this continued all through Christ's earthly ministry. His ministry to the Jews proved that Jesus was the King coming in fulfillment of that Abrahamic covenant.
