What is God doing among the Gentiles according to Acts 15?
According to Acts 15, God is calling out from among the Gentiles a people for His name. James recognized Paul’s ministry among the Gentiles, which Peter and the eleven did not know. This calling has continued while Israel remains blinded, preparing for God to resume His dealings with the nation.
Les explains that Israel was on trial and testing through the book of Acts, but God would not wait until the end of Israel’s 40 years to start calling out a people for His name, as Acts 15 shows. In Acts 15 James recognized that Paul had a ministry among the Gentiles that Peter and the eleven knew nothing of. James stated that God would call out of the Gentiles a people for His name. Les says this has been going on for 1900 and some years while Israel has been blinded, and now we see the stirring of the nation and preparation for God to pick up where He left off.
