What role did Moses play in Israel's history according to Peter in Acts 3:22?

Peter presents Moses as Israel's deliverer and redeemer in type: Moses brought the people out of slavery, led them out of captivity, and brought them to Abraham's God. Peter, speaking to the great crowd of Jews, uses Moses' historic role to point Israel back to covenant ground and God's call to repentance.

Les explains that Acts 3:22 carries the reader all the way back to Moses' role in the life of Israel. Moses was the Deliverer; in so many words, the Redeemer. He brought Israel out of slavery, led them out of captivity, and brought them unto Abraham's God. Even as Moses was the Deliverer in type, Peter speaks to the great crowd of Jews on covenant ground. Peter had already said in verse 21 that the Lord was ready to return if Israel would repent, but it would wait until the period of restitution of all things, which is the tribulation. At verse 23, Les connects the follow-up to John 3: except a man be born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If Israel had repented, no unbelieving Jews would go in; the admonition is for every Jew to become a believer, because no unbeliever will ever go into the Kingdom of Heaven.
