What valid offer did God give to the Jews at Pentecost?

At Pentecost, the Jews received a valid offer to experience the Holy Spirit's power again. Gathered as Israel on that Jewish feast day, believing Jews could do miracles, signs, and wonders as Jesus had done, carrying on His ministry. Jesus would baptize Israel into the Holy Spirit.

Les explains that Pentecost was a Jewish feast day, when the nation of Israel was gathered and the Holy Spirit came down with power. This was the Jews' valid offer again: to experience that same power of the Holy Spirit and do miracles, signs, and wonders as Jesus had done. It was the nation's prospect that individual believing Jews could literally carry on what Christ had been doing for three years. That manifestation would come by placing them into the very power of the Holy Spirit. Les also points ahead to Acts 1:8, where Jesus says, “you shall receive power,” and summarizes the concept: Jesus would be the Baptizer, and Israel would be the baptizees.
