What is true spirituality according to Les?
True spirituality is that which flows from within, not mere church attendance or the number of hours spent in a pew. It is manifested all week long, not just for an hour on Sunday morning. Religion, by contrast, never accomplishes anything.
Les explains that true spirituality is not measured by hours spent in church or by sitting in a pew on Sunday morning. He shares an illustration of a lady who asked if the number of hours she spent in church showed her spirituality, and he says that is not what shows it. He clarifies he is not against church, but notes that some people never miss Sunday service yet live deeply in the world on Monday. That, he says, is religion, and religion never accomplishes anything. True spirituality flows from within and is manifested all week long, not just for an hour on Sunday morning.
