To whom was Christ's earthly ministry primarily directed?

Christ's earthly ministry was directed primarily, though not exclusively, to the Jew under the Old Testament covenant promises. The miraculous signs in John were given to the nation of Israel, because the Jew required a sign. Every Jew Jesus dealt with remained a law-keeping Jew while the Temple still functioned.

Les emphasizes that the signs in the Gospel of John are eight in number and are not merely miracles or wonders but signs. Because the Jew required a sign, all these signs were directed to the nation of Israel. Les further explains that everything in Christ's earthly ministry was directed primarily, not exclusively, to the Jew under the covenant promises of the Old Testament. At that time Christ had not yet died, and the people had no idea He was going to die, but they were to believe He was the Christ coming in fulfillment of those Old Testament covenants. Every Jew Jesus deals with is still a law-keeping Jew, and the Temple is still going full blast.
