Who is sitting on the great white throne?

Revelation 20:11-12 describes a great white throne, and the person seated on it is Christ. The context identifies Him as the one from whose face earth and heaven flee, and before whom the dead, small and great, stand for judgment.

Les explains that Revelation 20:11-12 occurs at the end of time and human experience, as the world is ready to be ushered into eternity. He identifies the person on the great white throne as Christ. Les points out the reversal: Jesus stood before Roman authority in Matthew, but one day that same Roman authority will stand before Him, along with presidents, kings, senators, corporate heads, and the great men of this world. The dead, small and great, stand before God. Les emphasizes that this book was supernaturally put together and is scoffed at by unbelief.

Revelation 20:11

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
