Why will the first half of the Tribulation not be easy for the world?

The first half of the Tribulation will not be easy for the world because, although it is not a Sunday school picnic, it brings extensive war, famine, pestilence, and widespread turmoil. While the Jewish people may enjoy a semblance of religious freedom during that first three and a half years, global conditions remain severe and troubled.

Les explains that Revelation chapter 12 follows the midpoint of the Tribulation, when the Antichrist defiles the Temple and turns on the Jews who had enjoyed a semblance of religious freedom in the first three and a half years. Even so, Les teaches the first half is not a Sunday school picnic for the world, because there will be much war, famine, pestilence, and turmoil. At the midpoint, the last half is triggered and becomes beyond human description, described in Psalms 2 as the wrath and vexation of God.
