What natural and political disasters will occur during the tribulation?

Jesus foretold that during the great tribulation, natural disasters will include earthquakes, volcanoes, cosmic disturbances, and likely great meteor storms. Political and military conflicts will also take a heavy toll of life. These final three and a half years will be so horrendous that unless the days end on schedule, no flesh would survive.

Les explains that the great tribulation begins at the midpoint and is far greater than the first three and a half years. It will be worse than anything Israel has ever experienced. Jesus said those days will be so horrendous and take so much life that unless they are shortened—meaning they end right on schedule at 1,260 days plus 1,260 days—no one would survive. If they went even ten or twelve days longer, no flesh would be saved, but for the elect's sake they will end on time. The tremendous loss of life comes from natural calamity, earthquakes, volcanoes, cosmic disturbances, and likely great meteor storms. Beyond that, the political and military ramifications will take a heavy toll of life. Also, false Christs and false prophets will arise, showing great signs and wonders by Satan's power, attempting to deceive even the elect. Jesus warns not to believe anyone who claims Christ is in the desert or in secret chambers, because He will come from heaven. After the tribulation, at the Second Coming, He will destroy all the nations gathered in the Middle East under the Antichrist.
