What secret did God keep about Israel while He was calling out the Gentiles?
The secret kept in God's mind was that during the long period when He was calling out the Gentiles, Israel would be in spiritual blindness. This blindness was only in part and temporary, not final, lasting until the fullness of the Gentiles—the body of Christ—had been brought in.
Les teaches that this was a secret or mystery that had been kept in the mind of God. While God would spend 1900 and some years calling out the Gentiles, Israel would be in spiritual blindness. This truth cannot be found elsewhere in Scripture. Isaiah did say their table would become a snare and that they would be blind and not hear, but he did not associate that with a period of time when God would turn to the Gentiles. Here, however, the secret is now revealed: Israel's blindness is only in part and not forever. It lasts for a segment of time, until the fullness of the Gentiles has been brought in. The fullness of the Gentiles is the body of Christ. When the body of Christ is finally filled, the last person is saved, and the church is removed at the rapture, God will pick up again where He left off—with Israel. Then Israel's spiritual blindness will more or less come to an end, and they will again have a spiritual relationship with their Jehovah God.
