How are far-off Gentiles made near to God?

Far-off Gentiles are made near to God by the blood of Christ. Paul writes that Gentiles who were once far off—aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, without hope and without God—are made nigh in Christ Jesus through His blood.

Les explains from Ephesians 2:11-13 that Gentiles were once without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world, because God was then dealing only with the nation of Israel. But verse 13 gives glorious hope: now, in Christ Jesus, Gentiles who were at one time far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Les emphasizes what a difference that makes, noting that until this is announced, the message was Jew only and that Jesus is the Christ.

Ephesians 2:13

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
