Is the Gospel of Matthew in the church age or still in the Jewish era?

The Gospel of Matthew is still in the Jewish era, not the church age. It records Law, Jewish covenant promises, and Christ coming to His own. As long as Israel does not receive Him, the account must be understood under those covenant promises, not as Christianity or church ground.

Les explains that the common assumption is wrong: many think that as soon as you get into Matthew you are in Christianity or on church ground, but he says nothing could be further from the truth. According to the transcript, Matthew is Law, it is Jewish, and Christ came to His own. Jesus said what He said because He came to fulfill the covenant and the covenants, all of which rested on the Abrahamic covenant and included no one but Jews. Until His own receive Him not, this must be dealt with as under the covenant promises.
