When does God reveal the mysteries after Israel rejects the Old Testament format?
Within the scriptural sequence, the Old Testament format is set before Israel, and the Jew continues to reject it. After that continued rejection, God reveals the mysteries. The mysteries therefore follow Israel’s rejection of the Old Testament format rather than preceding it.
Les explains that the whole format comes out of the Old Testament, and the Jew will continue to reject it; then God reveals the mysteries. He illustrates this by turning to Matthew 4:17, where Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent,” because the King was there, ready to set up His kingdom.
