Why will the present planet be used up at the end of the thousand-year reign?
At the end of the thousand-year reign, the present planet will have served its purpose and used up its usefulness. The Kingdom will be interrupted and lifted off the planet long enough for a whole new planet, a new heaven and new earth, to come on the scene.
Les explains that by the time the thousand-year reign ends, this planet will have used up its usefulness. The Kingdom is going to be interrupted and lifted off the planet long enough for a whole new planet to come on the scene. After the Kingdom Age and after the rejecters and rebels are taken off the scene and sent to their doom, the next chapter shows a new heaven and a new earth. In place of the present planet will come this new heaven and new earth, and the aspects that were in the Kingdom on this Garden of Eden earth will go right on into the new heavens and new earth, which Les views as a carbon copy of the Kingdom seen in Revelation and the Old Testament. That will then be eternity, spent not floating on a cloud but in a Kingdom on a new earth.
